Who said football isn’t huge globally? Not me, however most would think I am talking about the American style of football as in the NFL. Not when it comes to Twitter followers. The powerhouse football club, FC Barcelona, with great history and global FIFA stars such as Lionel Messi playing for them has over 7.7 million followers currently on their Twitter account.

All 32 of the NFL teams combined only currently have 7.17 million followers. That’s pretty darn impressive any way you look at it. Whether selling team merchandise or tickets, the communication with that many fans is a social media Olympic Gold on a daily basis.

Born and raised in Arizona, Felicia grew up in an extremely athletic family. Competing in track, volleyball and softball; it was only natural that she would eventually get involved with health and fitness.

Felicia graduated from Arizona State University in 2004 with a B.A. degree in Political Science. While in college she caught the fitness bug and became a certified trainer, opening up a personal training studio in Mesa, Arizona.

While initially getting into training to help take care of the financial side of getting a college education, her business soon flourished and she soon found her passion with training and fitness. Helping so many people change their bodies and lives to healthy ones on a daily basis, it became clear to her that a career in fitness was the road for her.

Entering her first figure competition in 2004, she realized immediately that she loved everything about it: the lifestyle, the mental toughness and the ability to transform her body. She was hooked.

Fast forward now…as an IFBB Figure Pro she has won 5 pro shows, most recently the 2011 California Pro. She finished Top 4 in the 2011 Figure International and Top 5 in 2009 and 2010. At the 2010 Ms. Figure Olympia she was TOP 5 as well.

Her fitness modeling career has taken off too, being featured in Muscle and Fitness, Muscle and Fitness Hers, Oxygen and Flex Magazines. She has landed on the covers of such popular fitness magazines as: Muscle and Fitness Hers, Flex swimsuit issue, Status Fitness and Oxygen; five covers in all so far.

Owner of AZ Pro Physiques in Gilbert, Arizona and a sponsored athlete; she is still as passionate as ever about personal training.

4) What one or two things do you currently do in your training that are keys to your success?

-      consistency (day in and day out)

-      always keep a positive mindset (try to at least)

5)  What what was the best advice you were ever given?

- To not put so much pressure on myself to be perfect.

6)  Do you have a saying or motto that you live your life or train by?

- We gain strength and courage, confidence by each experience in which we stop to look fear in the face. We must do that which we think we cannot.

7)   What’s your daily routine/workout when preparing for a competition or cover model shoot?

-      Cardio 6 days a week twice a day at 30 min (one session low intensity and one session high interval training)

-      Weight lifting 5 times a week. 2 upper body training days and 3 lower body training days. (Train glutes 3 times a week), Abs 5 days a week.

8) Favorite movie(s)?

- The Departed , Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing

9)  Favorite Halloween costume you dressed in as a child?

- Jasmine from Aladdin (I was Jasmine every year for like 5 years LOL)

10)  Do you think you are motivated by goals and success or to avoid failure (or a mix of both)?

- Motivated by both for sure: I gain strength through my struggles but  also know that I create my own luck the harder I work! I use both types of motivation to my benefit.

11) You seem naturally motivated to take life on, have you always been wired this way or was that taught to you and or learned thru several experiences?

- I definitely think there is a bit of nature and nurture here. Naturally I was always wanting to do more, highly motivated as a child to perform well in school and sports. But as an adult I have definitely been shaped through experiences. Seeing my mom struggle as a single parent, the relationship and life experiences have pushed me in ways I didn’t think possible…

12) Favorite place to travel or would like to go to eventually? .. I would love to see Australia I have always wanted to go .

13) As a motivational speaker, what do you think separates you from others in your field of fitness?

I speak from the heart and am honest in all I say and write. Most sugar coat their experiences but I tell it like it is. If I am depressed then you know and I analyze why I am feeling like that. If I am insecure about my body I have no problem writing about it. I am a real person and many can identify with that. I am a hard worker and try to be humble and I think those are both good qualities to have because others can relate as well as feel comfortable enough to reach out.

14) You can only do one exercise for the rest of your life to stay fit, what is it and how often would you do it?(i.e. running, swimming, yoga)

- If I could do one exercise the rest of my life it would be cycling-indoor or outdoor. I love it …feel so great when I am doing it and when I am done.

15) If you were to cheat on your nutrition for a day, what would you eat ?

- My mom’s green chile chicken enchiladas—yummy! Could eat those all day. She is an amazing cook!

16) Please create a post workout shake/smoothie to refuel my body with less than 10 ingredients in it that I can make at home:

PEANUT BUTTER BRITTLE PROTEIN SHAKE

 -     1 scoop whey protein (low carb vanilla )

-      ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

-      1 tbsp all natural peanut butter crunchy

-      1 tbsp sugar-free & fat-free instant jello pudding mix butterscotch     

17) Where do you want to be in 2-3 years?

- I want to be an author and motivational speaker! I feel like I have so much to say and would love to travel and speak about fitness and health.
